ADULT BODY PAINTING EVENT FEES

General Face Painting Fees without Photography:

These rates are for events where Chelas travels to a party or adult event and paints the guests of the event with simple designs on their arm, face, foot or leg, back or breasts. Chelas charges $60 per hour for Adult Body Painting Events. This rate does not include photography. It is a two hour minimum for all local events and a three hour minimum for any event that is located within a 30 miles radius outside of Lancaster, PA. It is a three hour minimum if Chelas needs to travel more than one hour outside of Lancaster, PA. Call or e-mail to confirm your hourly rate. Chelas can paint 6 to 15 people per hour depending on the details and size of the designs chosen. Be sure to book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out. Please do not ask Chelas to disappoint any guests due to lack of time booked. If you do end up exceeding the time booked, and if Chelas is available to stay longer (sometimes she is booked for several events in one day and will be unable to extend her time), additional charges will be applied in half hour increments. The Client will pay for the time booked plus overrun, even if the Client has delayed the time that Chelas starts the actual painting.

All charges are due on the day of the event. The client must pay for a minimum of 1 hour even if the client uses Chelas for less than 1 hour. Completed contract and deposit must be submitted at least 14 calendar days prior to the event or the Client runs the risk of losing that date. Chelas accepts online payment through PayPal. Chelas accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and cash on location. Chelas does not accept checks.

There is a $30 fee for any returned checks or charges.

Adult Body Painting Party Fees with Photography:

These rates are for events where Chelas travels to a party or adult event and paints the guests of the event with full frontal or full back paintings and photographs them afterwards. Chelas charges $50 per person for Adult Body Painting Events. These sort of events require time, expect a minimum of 30 minutes per person for a painting and 15 minutes for photography. There is a minimum requirement of four guests being painted for such an event to be booked. Four guests would require a total of three to four hours of time for painting and photography. Chelas, solo, can paint a maximum of 15 guests in 8 hours, full back or full frontal. For larger parties, Chelas hires additional painters. Call or e-mail to confirm your date, check availability, and make arrangements for additional body painters. If you are serving a lot of guests and require the services of more than one body painter it is important that you schedule early.

All guests must be pre-registered to be painted on the day of the event. No additional guests will be added on to the painting list after Chelas begins painting. All fees are to be paid in advance.

Travel Fees:

Travel fees apply when Chelas needs to travel more than 30 miles outside of Lancaster, PA. $1 per mile.

Any parking fees must be paid by the client.

INDOOR SET-UP

Bathroom facilities, 6x6 space and 15 minutes of set-up and take down time is required for non-photographed events. A minimum space of 10x10 is required for photographed events, in addition to a 6x6 space for painting. Chelas brings a throne to every event unless otherwise requested not to. Please inform her if you do not have the space for it at your event. Please ensure that there is adequate lighting for Chelas to paint. Please let her know if there is not.

OUTDOOR SET-UP

Chelas has an easy-up canopy that she brings with her to outdoor events. It requires a space of 10’ x 10’ and 11’ of height. Chelas uses her canopy to cover herself, the throne, her paints and folding chairs as well as the guests. Chelas will not set up outside without protection from the sun, access to a restroom, and a place to dispose of her painting water.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

in the event of inclement weather. The Client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the painter has arrived at the event location, even if it is raining. Please list an alternate indoor location on the front of the contract as we do not offer refunds for inclement weather.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7 days prior and Chelas will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, you must cancel 72 hours prior to the event or you will have to pay the total amount contracted. Chelas does not offer refunds for inclement weather so please secure an alternate indoor location in advance. If Chelas were to become sick or have to cancel for any reason, the Client will be refunded a full refund or Chelas will find a replacement artist of equal qualification.

EXTREME WORKING CONDITIONS

Chelas has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, adult or pet; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.

LIABILITY STATEMENT

Chelas uses FDA approved cosmetic grade face paints.

Chelas’ preferred paint is Paradise Make-up AQ. http://www.mehron.com . These paints contain ingredients such as aloe and chamomile and are safe and gentle to the skin. They require no special removers and wash off easily with just soap and water. Chelas is not liable for allergic reactions to the paints. People with skin allergies or sensitive skin should not be painted, or have a patch test at the beginning of the party.  For safety reasons, Chelas will not paint anyone who does not want to be painted. For sanitary reasons, Chelas will not paint anyone who is, or appears to be sick or suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, sunburn, eczema, any infectious skin disease, or open wounds. These determinations are at the artist’s discretion. Chelas will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Chelas’ equipment or supplies caused by pets, lawn sprinklers, or guests. Under no circumstance will Chelas supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility.
